If you have any questions about Year 4, Miss Lee is on hand at the end of the school day who will be happy to offer support and help you. Please contact the school office if you would like a longer meeting. You can also contact them on Class Dojo by messaging the school office.

As part of our whole school commitment to wellbeing there is no expectation on our staff to read or answer emails sent between 4pm and 8am in the week, or any at weekends or holidays. Should your email not receive an immediate reply, this is not a case of being impolite but one of choosing wellbeing ahead of workload.

Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check

In June, pupils in Year 4 will take the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC).

The Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) is a statutory key stage two assessment, which tests Year 4 pupils' knowledge of the multiplication tables up to 12 × 12. The Multiplication Tables Check aims to check how well pupils know their times tables. This is important as knowing the multiplication tables gives pupils the foundational knowledge they need to progress in maths through the years. Instant recall of times tables facts is needed when completing trickier calculations. Without that knowledge, pupils might struggle to master more complex maths concepts.

You will find out more about these during the ‘Meet the Teacher’ meeting and throughout the year.
